I first started creating mixed media collages in 2012, when my art instructor introduced me and the rest of the class to the technique. Everyone in the class tried it out, but I was the one who became obsessed!
I love creating mixed media collages as it combines my two craft loves – scrap-booking and painting. I really enjoy creating an individual look for each of my girls – by embellishing them with different pieces of jewellery, found objects and different types of ribbons and laces, each
of them has their own unique story to tell.
My owls are another of my passions, They are so much fun to paint with their fluffy little bodies and there is no limit to the adventures they can go on. I will be looking at other birds I can add in the coming months . I also have a passion for hunting out new and interesting embellishments and giving them a new life – you just never know what kind of treasure your’re going to find in a second-hand store.
